North/South - South/North Study Visits
In October 2006, the British and Irish Governments agreed an agenda for strengthening all-island economic co-operation.
This agreement presents an unprecedented opportunity to develop a world class infrastructure on the island and opportunities for continuing all-island economic growth with benefits for all.
It has been specifically recognised in the Irish Government's new National Development Plan (Chapter 5 - All Island Co-operation) that more efficient and effective public services for example in healthcare and education can be delivered through all-island co-operation and sharing of best practice.
Atlantic Corridor has extensive contacts in both of these sectors and is in a position to facilitate pilot actions for co-operation and best practice study visits as appropriate.
